  • The result will more than likely be unsatisfying, so here is what to do next:
  • Hand wash the stain using Marseille or mild soap in lukewarm water. You can use a soft brush, rubbing gently.
  • If the stain persists, try using an absorbent mineral powder from an organic shop and refer to the instructions.

How to correctly use the BeeWax?

1/ Start by rubbing the BeeWax block on the area you want to make water repellent. We advise you to insist on the shoulders, hood and pockets. Opt for long and regular gestures.

2/ It is not necessary to put too much wax. 3 or 4 passages are enough to apply a thin white layer on the fabric. Do not forget seams! Spread the wax with your fingers in the recesses.

3/ Set your iron temperature around 55 °C and go back and forth so that the wax melts and permeates the fabric, always with long and regular gestures.

4/ Once your product is waxed, let it rest for 24 hours to let the wax penetrates fibers properly.

Wax is only an additive and not a property of the fabric, it will gradually disappear depending on the degree of use of the product. You might have to wax your product again to re-waterproof.

Are all products waxable?

We advise you to use the BeeWax treatment for Picture products composed mainly of organic cotton: backpacks, streetwear jackets.
Technical products (synthetic materials, all brands combined) are generally already provided with water-repellent treatment upon purchase. But over time, they may have lost their effectiveness. In this case, opt for a hair dryer rather than an iron to wax your product. This method will be softer for the fabric and the inner membrane.

If you have any question or any doubt, do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to answer you.

What you should not do:

  • Never heat your iron or hair dryer warmer than 55 ° or the product may be damaged.
  • Do not leave the iron in prolonged contact with your product, it could burn it.
  • Do not use the hair dryer directly on the product, keep a distance of 20cm between the hair dryer and the product.
  • Do not dry your product on a radiator.
  • Do not put your product in the dryer.
